The T-SPOT^®.TB test is the cellular in vitro blood test for the diagnosis of active and latent TB infection that enumerates the response of effector T cells that have been sensitized to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.  

The T-SPOT.TB test is the only blood test that has demonstrated in a pivotal clinical study both sensitivity and specificity exceeding ninety-five percent and reliability in all targeted testing groups.
